Digital smile design (DSD) is one of the main tools in modern cosmetic dentistry that enables you to visualize how your final smile will look like before proceeding with any dental procedure. It is based on a number of photos taken for you during a photography session; then, the computer images are converted into 3D models so you can see the possible changes to your smile from all views. DSD allows us to give our clients complete smile simulation using trial smile which is temporarily bonded onto the teeth with the same appearance of the final smile.

You can keep the trial smile for several days and start speaking, eating and smile, and then give us your concerns (if any) so we can modify the design before proceeding with the final smile construction. What is really interesting about DSDis that both the dentist and the patient participate in designing the smile and making certain changes to get the desired results.

The trial smile, also known as mock up, enables the patient to get the feedback from relatives and friends before getting the final smile. This is more important for patients with gaps, crooked, stained or missing teeth and for patients who need prosthetics or implants that require multidisciplinary dental procedures before the procedures are completed.
